Basic Rider Course

The Army foundation course for motorcycle operators will take place Sept. 14-15 at the Hall of Heroes and Torri Range. Riders who have not previously taken or do not have proof of completion of an Experienced Rider Course or Military Sport Bike Rider Course must complete this course. This 2-day (15-hour) course consists of classroom instructions on technical and behavioral aspects of riding, hands-on training, riding skills evaluation, and knowledge-based evaluation. Loaner motorcycles, helmets, and gloves are provided on request; however, we have only six motorcycles available per class and they are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Experienced Rider Course

The advanced one-day (8 hours) course will take place at Torri Range Sept. 16. The course complements a rider’s basic skills and helps with personal risk assessment. It includes fast-paced range exercises designed to enhance both basic and crash avoidance skills. Improving braking and cornering finesse is emphasized throughout the course. A riding skills evaluation is performed as part of the course and must be successfully passed to obtain a completion card. Participants must provide proof of completion of the Motorcycle Safety Foundation Basic Rider Course, previous Experienced Rider Course or Military Sport Bike Course.

Call for IMCOM employees

Installation Management Command employees are encouraged to volunteer for any of 49 positions open on two contingency bases, one in Romania and one in Bulgaria. The forward operating sites that support EUCOM’s mission in East Europe are not located in a hostile fire or hazardous duty location. This is a great opportunity for Army professionals to gain experience in a contingency base environment without some of the hazards encountered in places like Afghanistan or Iraq. If interested, Click here for more info. Anyone interested and qualified should send resume to Damon.K.Wilford.civ@mail.mil of USAG Ansbach S1.
